When it comes to getting a tattoo, there are a few helpful hints I can share
with you. There are many variations of skin type, and each place on the body
is a little different to tattoo. In order to give me the best skin to work
on and you the best healing possible, you can follow a few simple prep steps
the week before you get tattooed.
- Exfoliate
Gently scrub away dead skin cells. Especially in calloused areas such as
feet knees and elbows.
- Moisturize
Once or twice a day will condition your skin and the tattoo process with
be better for both of us, guaranteed.
- Take your vitamins
Vitamin C and E are great for replenishing the skin's nutrients and
making your skin tattoo better and heal faster.
- Hydrate
Drink water. It's good for your skin and cells.
- Relax
Don't stress out about it. I care just as much about your tattoo as you
do- if not more. Feel free to ask questions. I will make sure that all
your questions are answered before we actually start. The calmer you
are, the easier the whole thing will be.
DO NOT
- Get sunburned. Your skin is already damaged. It will bleed a lot and
it will all need to be touched up.
- Get wasted the night before. You will bleed more.
- Get tattooed when you are sick. You will get more sick and not heal
as well.
- Take this lightly. It is permanent. It is important.
